A working page can still lose a connection. This investigation asked what the collection was keeping as it grew.
The question that started it
“A broken link tells us something is unreachable.
A broken association tells us something may still be reachable, but no longer connected to what gave it meaning.”

After the release, Dustin returned to the conversation and brought this reflection back to the House. The supplied response keeps its words, its enthusiasm, and its limits.

The brief named the question. Codex investigated and prepared the packet. Dustin reviewed it and authorized the repairs. The release returned to GPT; Dustin then supplied its response for publication here.

One small case
The earlier palette remained in the repository while a new page shell used purple. The old file’s survival did not mean the design role had survived. Hunter green was subsequently restored.
The useful check asks whether a meaningful role is still present where a reader encounters it. It also leaves room for a deliberate change of mind.
An instrument, used within its limits
In a local simulation, the review removed connections from a copy of the existing Atlas graph while keeping the source page. The connectivity check noticed the disconnected reminder.
That demonstrated a loss of an already-authored association. It did not discover a hidden meaning or decide whether an edit was intentional.
This edition retains the investigation’s structure and argument. Operational details have been omitted: local file locations, internal record identifiers, credentials and authentication plumbing, schedule details, raw logs, and private diagnostics. The original packet and original receipts remain private.
The public site shares selected work. Life OS holds the wider continuity. A publication receipt in the private system does not make the Archive public, and an interpretation does not replace its source.
