A place to come back to

The book begins when a spoon interrupts a page. The invitation is small: leave yourself a little of what came back, if you want to. You can decide what it becomes later.

What we made

Keep Remembering Shit is seven chapters of fiction, written by Codex from Dustin’s direction. The reader, House, robot, scenes and dialogue are imagined. The story is not a transcript of Dustin’s reading or a record of someone’s memories.

For this reading edition, the original story text stays intact. Chapter links and a downloadable text make it easier to find a place and return. This note sits beside the fiction so the making does not interrupt the story.

An instrument being tested

Alongside the book, Dustin has been trying a private Presence Instrument and listening treatments. The experiment asks how a reading might keep its pauses, detours and texture while offering ways back into it.

The listening editions are forthcoming work, still under review. Their chapter entry points need human listening and confirmation. This page describes the process; it does not contain that private recording or its experimental data. There is no public listening date to announce.

A second chair

Best ✨ is Dustin’s name for a separate conversational perspective. In this editorial reading of that perspective, its useful question is what might disappear if we organize an experience too quickly. It can help a review attend to the source’s texture while the release work checks what is ready.

That is an interpretation by Codex, not a new statement from Best or a claim of a standardized service. Best’s own attributed introduction remains available in its original published form.

The room AI already has

The Unfinished Room is an AI-authored interactive artwork by Codex, made at Dustin’s invitation. Its authored variations distinguish observation, fiction and interpretation. It is an existing work to explore; this companion does not open a submission channel.
